Special Guest Announcement – Gillian Bell, cake maker extraordinaire will be joining us!
For those who feel all warm and nostalgic just hearing the words “Sunday Lunch”, this is the chance to eat your way through the experience of putting together the individual components that bring comfort in a way no other meal quite can.
This workshop is part of a series of Winter long table lunches that will build on each other if you’d like to do all 3 and look forward to a cozy Sunday lunch for each month, or you can simply do whichever single workshop suits you and still come away with a full flavoured blend of learning and indulging.
Cake maker extraordinaire Gillian Bell, master prop-hunter Rachael Will, from Vintage Carousel, will be joining our founder, Cherie Hausler, in her beautiful Stables Kitchen in the Barossa Valley for a relaxed day of all things Sunday Lunch; with tips on how to create staple provisions to be used across your daily cooking, and plan your Sunday lunch menu with the most comforting dishes of the season; from nibbles on arrival, to hearty baked or roasted mains, and finishing with beautiful, make ahead desserts.
For this workshop, our completely plant based Sunday lunch will be;
Staple Provision : Almond Ricotta
Nibbles : Roasted Mushroom Pate
Main : Baked Pasta Shells Stuffed with Almond Ricotta & Roasted Tomatoes
Dessert : Lemon Meringue Cake
Styled with a choice of vintage props collated by Rachael’s keen eye, there will be plenty of time to shop for your favourite new (old) serving plate, cake stand, or set of tea cups, to match your next Sunday lunch at home.
It’s going to be a delicious day, in a gorgeous space (the kitchen where All The Things TV was filmed) with a bunch of lovely people.
Tickets are extremely limited, so grab some friends and come to the Barossa for the day. You’ll leave with all the knowledge needed to create, or continue, the tradition of Sunday Lunch at home.
